Day 2: If you have driven on a road, don't cycle it...

Alarm went off at 0300 but the lazy bum did not get up until 4, and then did not set off until 5. The reason for early starts: less traffic. There is nothing like down hill cycling early in the morning. Everything I sweated for yesterday paid off.

More of the rolling hills today but some how it was better. Cyclists say you should pedal on the down hill too. I get the reasoning but 2 fingers to them. I say rest your legs as much as you can.

There were 2 problems with the route today: one MÃ¥ndalen tunnel and, two, Innefjord tunnel. The first being 4,4 km long, the other being 6,6km. I found out the first one has a cycle track on the outside. For the Innefjord tunnel, I had to call in the big guns - Amrit the convoy leader and our very own general Nikolai, my logistics command.

I was picked up outside one end of the tunnel and dropped off at the other end. No cheating guys. Had a great lunch with the family and said my good byes. I wont be seeing them again until I am in london. At this point I had already reached my goal of the day. Day was still young so I pedalled on for another 25 km. Sun was out so I got my holiday day tan.

Tomrrow is all climb. Just up. So let's see what happens.
